Refund Policy and Health Guarantee

Michigan House of Paws has a 7-day health guarantee on all small animals. The catch, however, is that the animal cannot be returned if sick or dead. As long as the animal has some obvious illness along with appropriate vet documentation that's covered in the health guarantee, Michigan House of Paws will find a way to reimburse you whether through store credit, a new pet, or money.

3-day deposits are NON REFUNDABLE

If a customer pays in full via our website or in-store and can no longer retrieve their selected fur baby, we will issue a refund minus the $300 housing fee.

Seller Agreements

  • The puppy you have selected is warranted by us to the original purchaser to be healthy to our knowledge at the time of purchase. In accordance with the above, we also warranty your puppy to be free from Parvo Virus, Distemper, and Hepatitis for a full (7) Seven days from the date of purchase. Should your veterinarian detect any of the above-mentioned diseases with a POSITIVE TEST within the seven-day period immediately following your purchase, you must notify us within twenty-four hours (888)952-1497 If your puppy tested positive for one of the diseases above a second opinion by a licensed veterinarian is REQUIRED.

  • Once we receive documents from both veterinarians confirming one of the three diseases that we cover, the purchase price of this puppy/dog will be refunded if the Buyer furnishes the Seller with (2) two veterinary certificates from (2) DIFFERENT licensed veterinarians indicating that the puppy/dog has Parvo Virus, Distemper, or Hepatitis. NO veterinary or any other costs will be reimbursed by the Seller.

  • We need your cooperation. You must take responsibility for your pet. Our warranty stipulates that you must have your puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within 3 business days of taking possession. After reviewing the records we have provided and evaluating your puppy, your veterinarian will provide a schedule of the remaining preventive care steps. Do not put off this initial vet visit.

  • Remember stress brings on illness! This puppy is like a little baby, just building his or her immune systems! Pamper and monitor your puppy each and every day! Watch for any signs of illness such as: NOT eating, laziness, coughing, diarrhea, vomiting or nasal discharge. It is very important that all of our puppies are kept on the same food which is Nutro Puppy Hard Food & Fresh Pet when taken by “purchaser”. We also recommend that the puppy is given Nutri-Cal & 3-4 teaspoons of Yoplait Strawberry , Blueberry or Vanilla yogurt once or twice a day for the first week or two. Not only does the yogurt taste good and give them extra nutrition, the good bacteria it contains can help prevent problems and sometimes even cure or prevent bacterial infections that can arise from the stress of going to a new home.

  • We recommend and encourage all companion pets to be spayed or neutered as soon as possible. Due to us not being the breeder we do not guarantee weight, color, and temperament on our puppies or testicles on male. We give an estimation of the puppies weight referring to a puppy chart and bone structure, puppy's adult weight is just an estimation and there is no guarantee of what adult size of puppy will be. We do NOT DNA test our puppies so we cannot guarantee 100% accuracy of each breed. IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM PLEASE CONTACT US IMMEDIATELY BY CALLING (888)952-1497, WE ARE AVAILABLE 24/7 AT THAT NUMBER AND WILL ASSIST YOU.

  • The genetic conditions we do not cover are inguinal and umbilical hernias, retained testicles, and cherry eyes. These conditions are common and can be fixed easily when the puppy is spayed or neutered.

  • Michigan House Of Paws does not cover common parasites (i.e. coccidia, giardia) or respiratory infections; such as kennel cough if detected early both items can be treated by your vet and should never be a cause for death.

  • Your health guarantee does NOT cover hypoglycemia so it is imperative you read the following information closely. Hypoglycemia, or low blood sugar is a condition when the blood sugar level drops to an extremely low level due to lack of food or by using up all stored energy without it being replenished. Hypoglycemia can be corrected but if left untreated it can be fatal to your puppy.

  • Diagnostics related to grade 1 or 2 heart murmurs most are transient and represent no threat to your puppy

  • No other warranties or guarantees, expressed or implied, are made under this contract except as stated above.
